How do I remove melted crayons from my clothes dryer?

To remove crayon stains from a dryer drum, spray a soft cloth with WD-40 and wipe the drum. Next, remove any WD-40 residue by washing the dryer drum with warm soapy water. Then run a load of dry rags through a regular drying cycle. Please bear in mind, all the stain removal suggestions we offer have been tested in our laboratory, but we are unable to guarantee the results. We recommend you test our suggestion in an inconspicuous area first. While the marker barrel and cap are recyclable, not all parts of the marker are. Because the marker components are securely sealed during the manufacturing process, we don’t recommend trying to remove the marker nib and reservoir. The marker caps can be recycled at facilities that accept #5 plastic.

Crayola® Dough, Glitter Dots, and Easy Peel Crayon Pencils are manufactured with wheat (flour) as an ingredient and therefore are not considered gluten free. All other Crayola products, including Silly Putty, do not contain wheat or other grains known to be a source of gluten.

Multiple Crayola products are produced in the same manufacturing facilities and on the same machinery. While there is a slight chance of cross-contamination, the machinery used to manufacture Crayola products is cleaned between production runs in a manner that meets or exceeds all regulations.

We do not currently offer a program for recycling broken crayons sent to us by consumers. Because our #1 goal is to provide safe, high quality Crayola products, our raw materials must adhere to high standards and pass strict screening tests. Unfortunately, we would not be able to introduce recycled” crayon wax into our mixtures, and still be able to guarantee the safety and performance of Crayola crayons. We have some tips to help you get the very best results while cleaning your Scribble Scrubbie Pets. For Best Results: Gently scrub your pet under running water after play and let it air dry before storing. Use the scrub brush to help release marker inks from the tiny fibers (flocking). DO NOT PLACE SCRIBBLE SCRUBBIE PETS IN A DISHWASHER. Let your pets dry before a second use. Colouring on damp pets allows the ink to wick under the fibers, making the colour harder to rinse away. Still See Colour on Your Pet After Scrubbing Under Running Water? If colours have been left on your pet for several days, you may need to soak it in water for 20-minutes. If the stain persists after a 20-minute soak, soak overnight. Always Keep in Mind: The fresher the colour, the easier to clean. Soap has little effect when cleaning your pets. Fresh colouring typically requires a rinse under the faucet, while concentrated colouring may require light scrubbing under a faucet or an overnight soak. Follow the tips below. If you have additional questions, we would love to hear from you! Feel free to call or text us at 18002729652 weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM Eastern Time. Crayola offers many craft ideas on our sites, including some where crayons are melted. We do have a warning note in these techniques that states care should be exercised when melting Crayola Crayons and that irritating fumes can be released if heated at a high temperature. Our crayons have a melting point between 128 – 147 degrees Fahrenheit and they will begin to soften at about 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
