  • Pencils

Steps:

Step 1
  1. Find or take a source picture to use for this drawing.
  2. Use pencil to lightly draw the main details of the picture.

  1. Use a black fine line marker to complete the drawing.
  2. Draw in the style of C. W. Jefferys.
    - repeat lines and patterns to create different values
    - use contrast to make your drawing look 3-dimensional
    - add different patterns to add variety to the drawing

  1. View your drawing from a distance to see it with fresh eyes.
  2. Squint your eyes to see the values and contrast.
  3. Notice how your eye moves through the picture plane.
