  • Crayola Markers
  • Crayola Scissors
  • Crayola Washable Glue
  • Crayola Glitter Glue
  • Scalloped-Edge Paper Plate
  • Pencil

Steps:

Step 1

Sketch mermaid head and body on construction paper. Cut out.

Step 2

Trace hand on piece of cardstock. Cut out to create mermaid hair.

Glue mermaid body to handprint.

Sketch and cut out cardstock bathing suit.

Flip cardstock used to create bathing suit. Sketch and cut out eyes.

Glue bathing suit and eyes to mermaid. Let all glue steps dry 1–2 hours.

Add details to mermaid with markers and coloured pencils.

Sketch half circles of various sizes on scalloped edge of paper plate.

Colour in half circles with coloured pencils. Cut out.

Overlap and glue paper plate pieces together for mermaid tail. Glue tail to mermaid.

Add sparkly details to tail with glitter glue. Let all glue steps dry 3–4 hours.
