With an adult, choose an outdoor paved area that is clean, safe, and free from traffic. A big back yard with a concrete patio is perfect.
Players decide on a master list of items to be found on the hunt, with each player contributing one or two ideas, such as acorn, feather, and bottle cap. Write the list with Sidewalk Chalk on the paved area.
Each player uses a Super Brush and Sidewalk Paint to decorate a collection area on the paved area. Players write their names and draw a space large enough to hold all the items on the scavenger hunt list.
Players gather in a circle. At the count of three, all rush to gather as many of the things on the list that they can find.
When a player completes the list, or at a pre-determined time limit, the game is over. The most successful scavenger wins.
