Togo is located in western Africa. Its Independence Day is celebrated on April 27. The country measures slightly smaller than the state of West Virginia. It has a tropical, hot climate, and some of Togo's natural resources include limestone and marble. The country was once named French Togoland, but it was changed to Togo in 1960.
