On February 4, 1902, American aviator Charles Lindbergh was born in Detroit, Michigan. His nickname was "Lucky Lindy," and he was the first to fly solo and nonstop over the Atlantic Ocean. He made his famous trip from New York to Paris on May 20-21, 1927. He died in Maui, Hawaii on August 27, 1974.
