Crayola CIY Watermelon Pencil Case

Head back to school with the sweetest pencil case in the class!

Supplies: Pencil, Crayola Acrylic Paint, Crayola Paint Brush, Crayola Fabric Markers, Crayola Glitter Glue, Canvas pencil case, Ruler, Cups, Craft sticks for mixing

  • 1.

Using a ruler and a pencil, draw 2 straight lines across the length of a canvas pencil case to create 3 sections. Make two thin sections for the rind of the watermelon, and one large section for the flesh of the watermelon.

  • 2.

Pour red Crayola Acrylic Paint into a cup, and add white paint slowly, mixing with a craft stick until you’ve reached your desired shade of pink. Paint the large section to create the flesh of the watermelon.

  • 3.

Pour white paint into a separate cup and paint the middle section to create the rind. In the same cup, add blue and yellow, and mix with a craft stick to create light green. Paint the remaining section to complete the rind of the watermelon. Let dry for 3-4 hours.

  • 4.

Using Crayola Fabric Markers, draw seeds on the pencil case. For added fun, give the watermelon a happy, smiling face!

  • 5.

Accent the pencil case with Crayola Glitter Glue. Let dry overnight.

  • 6.

Fill your pencil case with all of your favourite Crayola tools, and take it on the go!
