Transform an ordinary salad spinner into a DIY spin art machine. It’s never been easier to get in the Valentine’s Day spirit than by making these fun, colourful creations!
1.
On a piece of cardstock or heavy paper, draw the outline of a heart using a No. 2 Pencil. Cut out the shape using a pair of Crayola Scissors.
2.
Remove the lid of a salad spinner and place the shape into the bottom of the spinner. Carefully pour small drops of Crayola Washable Kids’ Paint all over the heart. For best results, use 2-3 colours per heart.
3.
Bring the salad spinner to full speed for approximately 30 seconds, or until you’ve reached your desired design. Watch as the paint wicks into unique patterns as it spins!
4.
Remove the heart from the salad spinner and set aside to dry. Helpful hint: be sure there are no large globs of paint left, as this will increase dry time.
5.
Once fully dried, add messages and colourful accents with Crayola Markers and Crayola Glitter Glue. Experiment making spin art with all of your favorite Crayola colour combinations.
6.
Hang your creations as Valentine’s Day decorations or design a unique card for your special Valentine!
