Embrace the spirit of winter and experiment with ice painting in 2 different ways
First Technique: Dissolve a Crayola watercolour of your choice in 2 ounces of hot water (Adult assistance required). Pour the dissolved watercolour into an ice cube tray. Experiment with different colours until the tray is full. Break craft sticks in half and place on in each slot of the ice cube tray. Place in freezer for 5-6 hours. Once frozen the colourful ice cubes can be used to create your own icy watercolour creation.
Second Technique: Fill a cake pan with cold water and place it in the freezer overnight. Pop out the piece of ice from the cake pan and place it in a large aluminum pan. The aluminum pan will contain the water as the ice melts. Have fun painting on ice with a moistened paint brush dipped in Crayola watercolour paints.
