Turn cardboard & string in to colourful twirly, whirly fun!
Trace two circles from the bottom of a large can onto Crayola Construction Paper.
Draw designs inside the circles with Crayola Markers and Crayola Coloured Pencils. Cut them out with Crayola Scissors.
Place one of the construction paper circles onto a piece of scrap cardboard and trace. Ask an adult to help cut out the cardboard discs.
Attach the paper circles to the sides of the cardboard disc with Crayola Glue Stick.
Ask an adult to make two holes in the center of the cardboard disc, about half an inch apart.
Cut a piece of string approximately 30 inches long. Thread the ends of the string through the holes in the cardboard disc and tie the ends together.
PLAY: Slide the cardboard disc to the midway point of the string. Holding the ends of the string, “flip” the disc repeatedly (like a jump rope) to wind up the Paper Spinner. Then stretch the string tightly and watch your designs swirl and twirl!
